Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Human Resources Director – Healthcare & Nonprofit Services Salary: $130,000 – $140,000 (Depending on Experience) Lead Human Resources Strategy in a Mission-Driven, Healthcare-Focused Environment Requirements to Apply Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory or leadership role PHR or SHRM-SCP certification required Experience with credentialing and privileging of healthcare professionals preferred Background in nonprofit, community health, or behavioral healthcare settings highly desirable Strong working knowledge of state, federal, and local labor and employment regulations Job Overview An exciting opportunity is available for a strategic and service-oriented Human Resources Director to join a nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to serving diverse communities. Reporting to executive leadership, this full-time role oversees all aspects of HR operations including employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, talent acquisition, staff development, and regulatory reporting. This role plays a key part in aligning workforce initiatives with organizational goals while maintaining a healthy, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture. What Will You Do? Develop and implement HR policies and programs aligned with organizational goals and values Supervise HR department staff and oversee daily operations including employee onboarding, training, and records management Lead recruitment strategies and manage all phases of the hiring process—from job posting to job offer Conduct employee orientations and coordinate ongoing training and professional development Support employee relations by advising management on disciplinary actions, evaluations, promotions, and conflict resolution Ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries from regulatory agencies and external entities (e.g., unemployment, workers' compensation, benefits providers) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and ensure HR practices remain in full compliance Serve as a key liaison between leadership and staff on all human resources matters Maintain confidential employee records and manage time/attendance systems Monitor organizational safety, risk management, and compliance-related matters Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning, credentialing, and performance management initiatives Provide executive-level HR reporting and recommendations to senior leadership What Are the Benefits?
