About the job A rapidly growing advanced manufacturing business in the renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the next stage of its organizational development. This role sits at the center of a major growth and transformation journey, integrating cultures, building structure around a dynamic workforce, and shaping the people strategy to support ambitious expansion plans. The HR Director will partner closely with the leadership team to design and implement the policies, structures, and frameworks that will underpin long-term success. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and will suit someone who thrives in complex, evolving environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company’s growth trajectory and operational goals.
Drive cultural integration initiatives, blending two organizational cultures into a cohesive, high-performing environment.
Build and structure the HR function, including talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and workforce planning.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the leadership team, influencing decisions on organizational design, workforce strategy, and change management.
Oversee compliance and risk management across all HR processes, proactively addressing issues before they escalate.
Partner with operational leaders to develop policies and frameworks that support a predominantly blue-collar production workforce in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Champion employee engagement and change initiatives that improve retention, morale, and performance at all levels of the organization.
Mentor and develop the HR team, including a dedicated HR Manager focused on the production floor and a generalist overseeing payroll, benefits, and core HR operations.
Ideal Profile Proven track record in senior HR leadership roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Demonstrated experience driving organizational change, cultural integration, and workforce transformation.
Strong background in building HR infrastructure, policies, processes, and systems in scaling companies.
Hands-on familiarity with the dynamics of blue-collar workforce management and production floor operations.
Strategic yet pragmatic approach, comfortable operating in evolving and sometimes ambiguous environments.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level and gain buy-in across diverse groups.
