Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized, professional recruiting firm is assisting our global manufacturing client in their search for a Human Resources Director near Columbia, Missouri. This will sit onsite in the plant and full relocation support is available.
Responsibilities Core member of the plant leadership management team, providing HR support to employees and managers, ensuring effective and sustainable workplace relations and performance. Implementing HR strategies and priorities in alignment with global division covering culture, people, and organization. Following policies and instructions, work in collaboration with Center of Excellence and Global partners to oversee activities regarding labor relations and organized labor. Manage resolution of labor relations crises, ensuring necessary flow of information to all stakeholders. Advise and communicate with business leaders, relevant HR stakeholders, and the Legal function regarding requirements in labor relations, forthcoming legislation, etc. Support HR Manager and HRBP on implementing and following up on performance management; help implement group and global recognition programs. Work closely with Corporate Recruiting Team to ensure a sustainable talent pipeline; drive and execute all talent processes with Business Leaders. Partner with Business Leaders to understand and identify learning requirements Monitor employee turnover data, putting measures in place to support optimal levels of attrition. Assess employee engagement and morale; take actions as needed to address issues. Represent HR in the workplace, build partnerships between employees, HR and management. Deliver day to day HR support/contact/relationship for employees.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field
HR Experience: 10 plus years of progressive experience in Human Resources. Experience in collective bargaining negotiations Industry Experience: Manufacturing with 500+ employees Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading teams and managing HR projects with a strategic oversight. Preferred Technical Knowledge: Workday, SAP, Taleo or other applicable system.
