The Role: We’re looking for someone who can own the HR function while also being a trusted business partner to leadership. You’ll lead HR operations across multiple states and serve as the cultural heartbeat of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of HR: compliance, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and training
Partner with leadership on workforce strategy, organizational growth, and performance development
Develop and implement HR policies, handbooks, and processes that actually work in the field
Support and coach managers—especially those new to leadership roles
Keep the company compliant with multi-state laws and requirements (you’ll be the go-to here)
Build out performance review processes, career pathing, and leadership development
Champion the company’s values and promote a people-first, safety-always culture
Act as a sounding board, problem-solver, and steady hand during change and growth
You’re a Fit If You: Are comfortable supporting field teams (drivers, operators, mechanics, dispatch, etc.)
Know how to build relationships at all levels—from owners to front-line workers
Have a strong working knowledge of employment law, especially in multi-state environments
Can switch gears between strategic planning and getting the day-to-day done
Believe HR is about helping people and the business succeed together
Are confident handling tough conversations and coaching up new leaders
Are organized, responsive, and don’t wait to be told what needs to be done
Must-Haves: 7–10 years of HR experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
Proven experience in blue-collar or field-based industries preferred
Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment regulations
Experience with HRIS, performance systems, and developing internal HR processes
A relatable and clear communication style—whether in the breakroom or the boardroom
