As a Health and Benefits Associate Director , you will be a key member of the client service team, engaging directly with clients and establishing relationships across all levels of the client organization. You will contribute to project management, leveraging your expertise to make recommendations on plan design and management for health and benefits programs. The Role Lead the design and management of group medical, dental, wellbeing, life, disability, and absence management benefits for clients. Responsibilities include:
Managing projects, monitoring progress, budgets, timelines, and quality standards; serving as the primary contact for clients.
Advising clients proactively and providing exceptional service.
Creating benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings, and funding strategies.
Supporting benefit enrollment activities, including preparing materials, verifying information, and updating systems.
Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, including Form 5500 filings, policy checks, and documentation.
Engaging specialists in health management, absence, disability, pharmacy, data analytics, and compliance.
Supporting new business development through prospecting and team collaboration.
Building internal relationships and collaborating across teams.
Mentoring junior colleagues.
Qualifications
8+ years’ experience in health and welfare plan management in a consulting, brokerage, carrier, or vendor environment.
Ability to expand client relationships.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.
Problem-solving skills and flexibility.
Strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
State Life and Health license required within 90 days of employment.
CEBS designation or relevant actuarial/underwriting training preferred.
