About the role
CHANEL is looking for a Group Director, Tech Product Owner - MDM in New York City. This tech product owner, of cloud-based Master Data Management (MDM) solution built on Reltio and Microsoft Azure, will join our BI/CRM Technology Team in Manhattan. The ideal candidate will play a leading role and be the primary contact for all core activities on this MDM program and will collaborate with different business stakeholders and corporate functions.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of proven hands-on experience in Tech Product Management with deep expertise in MDM concepts and data integration (ETL, API, data lakes, etc.) in a retail company. Must have a passion for Tech Product Management mastery, facilitation expertise, strong technical expertise to partner with different service owners, and exceptional communication skills as this role will interact with executive level committees for strategic advice, guidance and direction.
This Group Director, Tech Product Owner – MDM will report to the Head of BI/CRM on the Technology team for the CHANEL US Region. This role is presently an individual contributor with no direct reports.

What you will bring to the team
Minimum of 10 years of multidisciplinary professional experience with an emphasis on Tech Product Management and Information Systems - MDM
Expertise and oversight of technical roadmaps for MDM platform, working with Global Tech and PMO and defining integration of regional touchpoints and data schema into MDM (Azure, Reltio, DQM like Precisely)
Ability to manage, match and merge configurations with global counterparts, survivorship rules, and hierarchy modeling
Establish data quality metrics and monitor compliance
Proven experience enforcing Data Governance policies to ensure Data Owners, Data Stewards and Data Custodians understand their roles
Ability to collaborate with legal on compliance for Data Subject Requests and data deletion requests (OneTrust)
Strong presentation, storytelling, PowerPoint & facilitation experience; presenting to local and global executive leaders
Proven ability to lead end-to-end delivery with minimal guidance and influence the business on best practices
Knowledge to collaborate with architects and data engineers for seamless integration to CDP, analytics platforms and downstream systems
Coordination to ensure data protection across its lifecycle, enforcing security guidelines on encryption management, access control, secure data flows, threat mitigation
Excellent written and oral communication skills with stakeholders
Collaboration with CDP Product Manager on required data mappings, merge instructions and integrations
Establish and enforce SLAs for platform support, monitoring and up-time
Experience in setting up, operationalizing, and growing technology services
Luxury global retail experience highly preferred
Position Logistics
Position based in New York City, hybrid 3 days onsite. CHANEL HQ, Midtown, Manhattan.
Must have Retail Industry experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Tech Product Management with deep expertise in MDM concepts and data integration (ETL, API, data lakes, etc.) in a retail company
Deep expertise of data privacy, security, regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, OneTrust, etc.). Representing the US on the global platform.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Kafka, Reltio (SaaS, MDM platform or similar). Must have experience owning a tech product roadmap
Luxury global retail experience highly preferred
Strong presentation, storytelling, PowerPoint & facilitation experience; presenting to local and global executive leaders
Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred in Information Systems or Management Systems or equivalent
Occasional presence in Piscataway, NJ. Light international travel may be required
Some availability/flexibility to accommodate international teams and schedules when needed

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $134,900 - $200,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay may be offered. Other components may include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
