The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Supply Planning Director, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Driving excellence in supply planning processes, systems, and people to maintain finished goods inventory withing range (improving OTIF & reducing surplus inventory)​​ Owning the supply planning system modeling and design, deploying new applications in conjunction with adjacent planning processes​​ Defining and deploying supply planning playbooks, training and development programs to drive supply planner certification % to target​​ Leading the supply planning operational rhythm and parameter optimization cadence to deliver %FG inventory within range​ Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) Ten (10) years as a supply chain professional, with a focus on senior-level tasks in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Master’s degree in Supply Chain management or Operations Management or a related field from an accredited institution Ten (10) years as a Supply planner, with a focus on senior-level tasks in a private, public, government or military environment in a private, public, government or military environment Knowledge of Demand Planning (DP), Production Planning (PP), and/or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes Experience working on cross-functional and international teams ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification SAP Experience Skills include strong communication and presentation skills, Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams, Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings, data driven, results oriented, accountable for results Energetic with a demonstrated sense of urgency Work location: Maplewood, MN Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
