If you are a sales and marketing Leader in the process industry looking for an opportunity to drive a global strategy around refining, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to drive Emerson’s Measurement Solutions Group’s global growth in the Refining Industry. In this key strategic role, you will be responsible for identifying industry trends, customer pains and challenges and translating them into strategies and actions to grow our refining business. Working directly with World Area sales organizations you will play a meaningful role in building strong customer relationships, driving cross- functional collaboration, and representing Emerson in key industry forums and events. This position can be based in Boulder, CO, Minneapolis, MN, Houston, TX or Austin, TX. This is not a remote role and must be based at on of our sites in the listed location. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Work with a global team to develop and drive global growth strategies across the organization
Influence the organization to develop solutions, products and services that will drive incremental growth and differentiation
Build relationships with critical stakeholders in the industry and improve networking opportunities for sales
Serve as the subject matter expert for segment prospects and customers, influencing the strategy on current project pursuits
Develop content and services that improve our organization’s ability to support ROI decisions with our customers
Collaborate with senior leadership and product management teams to ensure our portfolio of products, solutions and services address industry-needs and requirements.
You show strong business insights and use these to articulate a vision and actions to drive opportunities. You formulate a clear strategy and map steps that will accelerate the organization towards its goals. You are comfortable in building networks in diverse business conditions and influencing people. You have consistently shown the ability to get things done and drive activities in a sophisticated organization.
For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's Degree and show a strong technical aptitude
Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience; four (4) of which must be in sales or marketing
Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time
Process automation and industry experience
Legal authorization to work in the US; sponsorship will not be provided
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Proven track record in developing marketing strategies and developing content to drive these strategies
Experience in building customer relationships and influencing the industry thru direct interaction with customers, participation in trade organizations, conferences and industry committees.
Strong background in interfacing with end users in the process industry.
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic plans.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The total target comp range (base + sales bonus) for this position is $116,100 - $165,900 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
