We are looking for a transformational Global Leader in Pharmaceutical Quality! A rapidly expanding multinational pharmaceutical group with operations across Latin America and Europe is undergoing a strategic and operational transformation. As part of this growth, we are seeking a: Global Corporate Director of Quality Control Location: LATAM or USA (hybrid model – willingness to relocate to Miami is a plus) Scope: Regional responsibility across 8 LATAM countries + 1 European country Role Objective Lead the definition and execution of the company’s global quality strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and cultural alignment across diverse geographies. This executive will drive harmonized quality systems, enable international exports (USA, Europe, Canada), and foster a modern, patient-focused quality culture across all operations. The role requires both technical and managerial competency. Key Responsibilities Define and implement a unified global Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure compliance with FDA (Food and Drug Administration – USA), EMA (European Medicines Agency), Health Canada, and local regulatory authorities, guaranteeing adherence to inspections, documentation practices, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and approval standards for the export of products to those countries. Lead internal and external regulatory audits. Integrate quality strategy with Regulatory Affairs and Medical Affairs. Digitize and automate quality processes: eQMS (electronic Quality Management System), LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), SAP, and Analytics, aiming to improve efficiency, traceability, and compliance through automation and data-driven decision-making. Deployment of digital tools that: i) Replace paper-based quality systems, ii) Provide real-time monitoring of quality metrics, and iii) Enable better decision-making through dashboards (visual data displays). Lead and develop multicultural quality teams across countries. Enable compliance to export products globally. Profile 15+ years of executive experience in pharmaceutical quality functions in Big Pharma Corporations: Mandatory. Proven leadership in global or regional quality teams in highly regulated markets. Strong knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ICH (International Council for Harmonisation), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), FDA, EMA, Health Canada. The candidate should understand these frameworks and how to apply them in audits, documentation, product releases, and compliance programs. Experience with regulatory inspections and international audits. Strategic thinker with a track record of driving cultural and digital transformation. Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or related fields (MBA or MSc preferred). Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English: Mandatory. Portuguese is a plus. Willing to travel internationally up to 50% of the time . Open to relocating to Miami . Success Indicators Successful approval and audit performance in regulated markets. Reduction in critical findings and CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions). The candidate must have a track record of minimizing such findings and effectively implementing CAPAs to improve compliance and quality systems. Implementation of digital quality solutions (eQMS, LIMS, dashboards). Harmonized global QMS aligned with business objectives. High retention and engagement of quality talent across all regions.
