About the Opportunity Were launching two mission-driven programs from the ground up: Wild Creek Kids a DCYF-licensed early learning center (opening first) Circle Creek Academy an inclusive private school to follow Together, theyll bridge medical and academic worlds, providing wraparound support for neurotypical and neurodivergent learners in a fun, inclusive, competency-based model. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary founding educator someone who loves building programs and teaching kids. Youll launch Wild Creek Kids first, then guide the growth of Circle Creek Academy, developing systems, staffing, and licensing while creating an environment where children and staff thrive. What Youll Do Design & lead both programs, starting with child care Build systems, staffing plans, schedules, and budgets Ensure compliance with WAC 110-300 (child care) and WAC 180-90 / RCW 28A.195 (private school) Oversee licensing, inspections, and documentation Lead curriculum and instructional approach for inclusive, competency-based learning Hire, mentor, and support teachers and assistants Partner with leadership on facilities, classroom design, and sensory-aware layouts Be a visible, trusted presence for families and the community Qualifications Valid WA Teacher Certificate (Residency/Professional) Appropriate endorsements (P3/ECE, K8, and/or Special Education) Bachelors degree and WA-approved teacher preparation 2+ years teaching experience (early learning/elementary) 2+ years admin or leadership experience Knowledge of DCYF licensing and private school approval ECE MERIT certification or ability to obtain Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Preferred: Special Education endorsement Experience launching or scaling programs Familiarity with multidisciplinary or therapy-integrated settings Compensation & Benefits
