Responsibilities

The Medical Director will be responsible for: Diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions and illnesses Emphasizing preventive medicine and working with patients to promote healthy lifestyles Monitoring patients' progress, adjusting medications, and providing education on self-management Treating acute illnesses and injuries, such as respiratory infections, minor injuries, and skin conditions Conducting routine health check-ups and wellness exams to monitor patients' overall health and identify any potential health issues before they become serious Prescribing medications when necessary, ensuring proper dosages and monitoring for any adverse effects Providing care to multiple members of the same family, allowing them to develop long-term relationships and a deep understanding of the family's medical history and needs Performing minor surgical procedures in the office, such as suturing wounds, removing moles or skin lesions, and draining abscesses Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for their patients, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results Providing medical consultations and following-up care via video calls or phone calls. Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications: Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York Board Eligible / Certified in Family and/or Internal Medicine Basic Life Support certification Infection Control certification 5+ years of experience in a Supervisory role Experience and/or interest in a Community-based setting Comfortable with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Bilingual (English and Spanish) Your privacy is important to us.
