About The Role:
Develop and implement company security-related services for company led properties or facilities. Work independently to manage market level security operations including supervision of property level security managers. Has direct responsibility for budget management of market security operation.
The role is onsite in midtown Manhattan, New York NY.
What You'll Do:
Assess quality and efficiency of security operations. Make recommendations concerning any changes to personnel and procedures in order to provide maximum security.
Work directly with security vendors to ensure contract adherence and that Client standards are maintained. Ensure quarterly security initiatives are met between CBRE and the Client. Coordinate Client security initiatives with CBRE and vendor staff.
Provide oversight and guidance to CBRE Managers in the field for security issues and concerns and raise incidents to appropriate security leaders.
Understand and train CBRE staff on Client security requirements. Ensure all Security Managers have established operational procedures as outlined in the CBRE Security and Life Safety Manual.
Acts as liaison between Real Estate Managers and Client Security Leaders on formulating policies, coordination of programs, handling personnel issues, and directing security budgets.
Prepare emergency responses to large scale incidents in area and help facility managers in directing emergency operations at buildings while in emergency status. Work with the property management and advises client security leadership and CBRE leadership on emergency situations.
Advise on construction of physical space with regards to specific security needs.
Establish and maintain relationships with local and national law enforcement officials and keep abreast of intelligence information to promote a secure environment for clients, tenants, and properties.
Supervise investigations regarding thefts and personnel issues and approve appropriate reports.
Work with human resources manager in handling issues related to security personnel. Act as consultant to human resources on other security related issues.
Handle the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approve subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommend same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitor appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Lead and support staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Lead and model behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college in Criminal Justice or Business Related field and 10+ years previous experience in security management or law enforcement command. Experience in handling contracts and budgeting preferred.
Meets local or national security staff certification requirements. Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most critical issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with shown experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company. To excel in this role, should have an advanced knowledge of Word Processing software; Excel spreadsheet software and Internet software.
Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results. Responsible for setting project, department and/or division timelines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to line of business and/or overall company.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for theFire and Security Directoris $160,000/year and the maximum salary is $180,000/year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401k, dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, and vision insurance.
