Financial Planning Director Reporting to: Head of Advisor Services Position Overview: The Financial Planning Director will play a key role in supporting the firm’s commitment to comprehensive, holistic financial planning in a fee-based environment. This individual will be responsible for creating well-structured financial plans and working closely with Stellarix advisors to ensure successful plan implementation and renewals, while delivering a best-in-class, client-centric experience. This individual will also create customized recommendations and strategies for financial plans for individuals and businesses. In addition to preparing financial plans for affluent individuals and business owner clientele, this Certified Financial Planner will support the recruiting and onboarding of new advisors and assist in coaching them to adopt financial planning as the foundation of their practice. The Financial Planning Director will collaborate with existing advisors’ staff to enhance planning strategies and ensure clients receive consistent, high-quality service aligned with their long-term goals. Metrics: Financial plan count, net new flows, planning fees, clients acquired – tracked on a YTD and YOY basis. Quarterly goals will be determined by the Head of Advisor Services. Principle Responsibilities: · Actively engage enterprise partners and cultivate partnerships with a focus on new sales revenue · Ability to maintain a process driven workflow amongst service structure · Gain people’s commitment to achieve business objectives and goals through clear communication of organizations vision and flexing leadership style to inspire high performance · Exhibits appropriate situational leadership, consultative, challenging, supportive and authoritative · Provides stretch opportunities to empower and develop talent · Exhibits a long-term view for growing business while managing within the MassMutual operating model · Leverages customer insight to develop solutions across all business units to create a customer-centric experience · Provide support to advisors on cases for affluent and high net worth individuals and small business owners · Deliver “best in class” client and planner/advisor experience and growth of plan count and planning fees · Creation of customized actionable fee-based plans and supports implementation of recommendations · Ensure a high level of quality of advice is consistently delivered for each case · Embrace the MassMutual Way in support of a comprehensive, consultative approach to client service · Proactively identifies operational synergies to further organizational growth in affluent markets · Assist in the onboarding process of new Financial Planners for smooth integration and sustainment · Execute a successful training plan for advisors using the home office resources (CCU) · Meet with experienced recruits to discuss flexibility and robust nature of Financial Planning platform · Support the growth of financial planners in the firm through vertical and horizontal growth · Master and use provided systems & technology:demonstrate proficiency in investment systems available (including but not limited to A360, E-Money, etc.) to model efficiency to advisors. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Required: · Strong ability to be process oriented to create consistency and scalability of financial planning workflows · Able to see the long-term vision of financial planning, but operate in the weeds to achieve it · Clear understanding of the connection between financial planning and LADL/Asset Management · Real world knowledge of personal and business planning techniques · Ability to influence and drive complex change, strong interpersonal communication skills · Ability to multi-task, be resilient, prioritize projects and adapt to new challenges · Outstanding writing, research, and communication skills, ability to analyze and express complex ideas and share information · Ability to work in fast paced environment; ability to work both independently and as part of a team · Proficient in using Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point. · Experience with eMoney and/or Profiles a significant plus · 5+ years experience in financial services industry preparing financial plans · Bachelor’s degree · CFP designation · Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65) (If not currently held it must be obtained within three months of employment) · Ability to work independently while impacting team results · Series 24 (or the ability to obtain within six months of hire date) · Provide references upon request Compensation and Benefits: · Base salary of $65,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience and ability. Paid bi-weekly less payroll deduction; W2 role Competitive benefits package, including health, retirement, and performance-based incentives. In office (Denver), Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Annual Review held in March 2026
