Summary Fortvita is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Finance . The Director, Finance is responsible for all aspects of managing the finance function at Fortvita. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, budget and planning process, and be able to collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic and financial insight on key business decisions and new initiatives. This is a hybrid role. Responsibilities The Director, Finance is responsible for all aspects of managing the finance function at Fortvita. Provide accounting, treasury, tax service and lead budget & planning process. Ensure financial statements, statutory accounts, management information and tax information are prepared accurately, effectively and efficiently and in a controlled, timely, compliant manner. Lead annual budgeting process and our long-range financial planning process. Analyze, understand and report on key financial trends and variances. Conduct ad hoc financial analyses in support of R&D, Clinical Development, G&A and other company initiatives. Manage the company’s cash and ensure compliance with the company’s investment policy; manage insurance obligations. Collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic and financial insight on key business decisions and new initiatives. Identify and implement scalable systems to improve workflows. Implement and enforce rigorous internal controls and compliance measures to safeguard financial integrity and ensure adherence to all regulatory and organizational standards. Collaborate with Finance teams in other sites and well manage the intercompany payment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required, MBA and/or CPA preferred. 10 plus years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the life sciences industry. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic guidance for evolving operating models. Experience with R&D, commercial, clinical is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary, bonus, and equity for all employees. Salary Range: 150,000- $200,000. This reflects the company’s pay scale for the role. Actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, and performance. 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions.
