Job Title: Director – US TV Production FP&A Pay Rate Range: $90.22/hr - $112.78/hr W2 Duration: 10 Months Location: Hybrid (required onsite 3-4 days) - Culver City, CA 90232
Description: Client is one of the television industry's leading content providers, producing, distributing, and carrying programming worldwide in every genre and for every platform. The TV production financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team sits at the nexus of financial information for Client. The FP&A team builds financial forecasts, maintains TV ultimates for all of Client's domestic productions, and supports business affairs and senior management in deal negotiations and business analysis. In pursuit of these goals, the FP&A team liaises with other finance groups within the organization, such as production finance, distribution finance, audit, accounting, technical accounting, billings, corporate reporting, and residuals & participations, as well non-finance groups like the creative, business affairs, and programming teams. The team is looking for a Director to backfill a staff member while on a project.
Responsibilities: Reports directly to the SVP Finance as well as another long standing Director and manages a team of one to two professionals Responsible for managing the financial planning process, including reviewing ultimates, financial modeling and consolidating– for the US TV Production Division. This includes mid-range plan, quarterly forecast, and budget processes Review series Ultimates for purposes of forecasting, deal analysis, & financial reporting in accordance with IFRS Works closely with the Senior Management, Strategy & Operations Finance, & Business Affairs team in the financial scenario modeling for content strategy Maintain appropriate controls within the planning and ultimate process as required Complete special projects for operations and finance as necessary.
Requirements: BS/BA degree with accounting/finance focus required 8+ years public accounting, consulting, investment banking or Entertainment industry finance/accounting experience required CPA and/or MBA preferred Entertainment experience preferred BPC, SAP and/or Essbase knowledge preferred Management experience preferred Strong MS Excel skills required Strong communication skills required Strong accounting / IFRS knowledge preferred Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and PC skills Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of management
