Key Responsibilities
Lead all accounting and finance functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, government accounting standards, and grant requirements Supervise and mentor finance team members, providing professional development and ensuring effective delegation of responsibilities Oversee fiscal compliance with federal, state, and foundation grants and contracts, including monitoring and required reporting Manage financial systems, payroll, tax filings, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance Prepare financial reports and projections for the board, executive director, and leadership team Partner with outside auditors on the annual audit, IRS filings, and other compliance obligations Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk analysis for the organization Provide strategic financial counsel to executive leadership and the board
Qualifications
5+ years of finance and accounting experience, including nonprofit exposure Experience with federal and/or state grants strongly preferred Knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
