We are looking to hire a Finance Director, Operations to join the team at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland. The position is hybrid eligible (50% onsite per month).

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the America’s Regional Supply Chain Senior Finance Director, the America’s Supply Chain Finance Director will be responsible for the Regional Segment Supply Chain Finance organization, including oversight and execution of the financial analyses and accounting of Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Distribution, Inventory, Procurement and Supply Chain CCI.
The CPD Supply Chain financial results, analysis, and processes would be coordinated by this role and would provide insights to the divisions and corporation to drive decisions and improve performance. This role is responsible for the standardization of cost policies and procedures across the segment, while facilitating the sharing of best practices across the function.
The role also partners with the America’s Supply Chain Vice President and his/her team, providing strategic guidance and financial analyses, and provides insight for the Global Supply Chain Organization, including driving financial analysis and partnership for all strategic priorities within Supply Chain. Internal customers rely on this position to influence and help drive improved performance in their business by identifying opportunities, setting strategies, respectfully challenging and debating with Supply Chain function heads and providing insights to drive decisions, investments, and resource allocation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regional Segment Lead for all Finance Operations activities with the team of 8 SC Finance Senior Managers  (Plant Controllers)
Business partner with America’s CPD Supply Chain Vice President and CPD Site Plant Managers on defining and implementing a holistic SC strategy, driving “Make” cost levers to deliver required levels of service at the lowest possible cost in a sustainable manner
Lead selected Transformational Productivity Projects
Lead Business Development Analysis
Lead Major Capex Investment proposals
Partner with Value Stream Leadership team to deliver Productivity targets through JTE, Proactively promote cost and headcount controls
Partner with Value Stream Leadership Team on Strategic Supplier Negotiations (Co-Man, Full Buy)
P&L Accountability for delivery of “Make” including Long Term Plan (LTP), Budgets, Quarterly Forecasts
Partner with CPD Supply Chain Vice President to navigate cost performance of the business and deliver Budget targets
Oversee monthly accounting close process and timely and accurate reporting of financials to Corporate. Ensure statements correctly reflect the company's financial position in accordance with GAAP
Evaluate Make cost performance, liaise with SCF team and the Value Stream LT and identify any trends that need further performance analysis and intervention
Lead deep-dives to fully understand and address performance issues
Provide input and recommendations on trade-offs within End to End SC, budget transfers, opportunity/risk
Present financial position at Monthly Divisional Business Review meeting to business leaders
Develop and implement financial policies, systems and processes
Lead the CPD Supply Chain Finance team
Provide organizational leadership for 8 plant controllers by providing day to day coaching, management, and barrier breaking. Leverage the company’s people management processes to provide formal and informal feedback, develop individual development plans (IDPs) and leverage learning resources to build capability across the team.
Define and evolve the team structure to advance the team’s development, capabilities, career advancement and service level to the business. Create a workplace that fosters teamwork and strengthens communication within and outside the department
Capital project oversight:
Ensure proper business cases are developed, and review soundness of financial models;
Drive increase in IRR for capital expenditure with PICERs as regular follow ups after implementation
Play critical role in harmonization and standardization aimed at reducing complexity, improving accuracy, and reducing cost. Governance and adherence to the Policy and Procedures issued by COE.
Work to direct staff to improve the level of automation involved in generating standardized reporting through collaboration with the Strategic Projects Transformation Team or the Finance Transformation team as appropriate
Review & safeguard company assets through the maintenance of effective inventory controls
ERP Implementation support/guideline for R5NA- R8NA go lives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent business function
10-12 years of progressive financial/business experience
Strong proven knowledge of financial accounting standards and Supply Chain principles and processes (eg. IBP).
Excellent People and Organizational Leadership experience
Thorough understanding of end to end business planning, financial planning processes, systems and internal controls
Excellent project management skills including the ability to manage cross-unit and cross-function teams including indirect reporting relationships.
Experience with ABC Costing and practical experience with cost accounting
Strength in change management abilities not only to drive transformational change, but to insure the people, systems and processes are leveraged to do so
Critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve using creative solutions
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective relationships at all levels within a matrix organisation
Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills with demonstrated ability to present ideas to and influence others.
SAP experience across all financial modules desirable
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, SAP/ BW and TM1 and basic proficiency of Power Point & Word required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Business MBA and/or CPA Experience
Prior experience in Supply Chain Finance, ideally in a Manufacturing environment
Base Salary: $140,610-253,080
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
