The Field Medical Director, Genomic Science Liaison (GSL) is responsible for leading a field medical team. This role involves planning and execution of the field medical strategy to support clinical and business objectives. The Field Medical Director will lead, mentor, and manage a field medical team and oversee field-based scientific and medical activities, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing Field Medical team, fostering collaboration and accountability. Set clear goals, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to team members. Conduct quarterly field rides (in-person or virtual) to oversee external engagements and ensure quality execution. Develop and implement field medical strategy aligned with organizational and departmental goals across oncology, screening, or biopharma teams. Identify and prioritize key scientific and clinical focus areas to guide team initiatives. Oversee relationship development and engagement with KOLs, HCPs, key stakeholders, and academic institutions. Facilitate scientific exchange on company products, pipeline, and advancements in precision medicine. Represent the company at scientific conferences, meetings, and events. Ensure optimal deployment of field resources to maximize coverage and impact. Oversee field medical operations, including insight collection, education, and scientific support. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Collaborate with Commercial Leadership to deliver a seamless customer experience. Partner cross-functionally with regulatory, marketing, commercial, clinical development, and technology teams to support education, development, and commercialization. Serve as a liaison between the field team and internal departments to align medical strategies. Oversee development and dissemination of scientific content (e.g., presentations, publications, educational materials) ensuring accuracy and data integrity. Support the team in delivering impactful scientific presentations and training. Lead collection, analysis, and reporting of field insights to inform strategic decisions. Prepare regular reports on field medical performance, impact, and outcomes. Ensure accuracy of reporting data and oversee sourcing/presentation of IIS or Biopharma Strategic Collaboration projects to the Protocol Review Committee. Collaborate with investigators and biopharma partners to ensure strategic and scientific alignment. Work with senior leadership to develop and monitor publication strategies aligned with team objectives.
Qualifications Typically requires a university degree and typically 15 years of related experience; 12 years and a Master’s degree; 8 years and a PhD; or 5 years and a PharmD/MD. Specifically in oncology, genomics, or a related scientific discipline. Minimum of 7 years of experience in medical affairs, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Extensive experience in oncology or primary care and genomics is required. Proven track record of managing and leading a field-based medical team. Proven record of strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Deep understanding of genomics aligned healthcare specialty and related scientific concepts. Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to develop and execute strategic plans. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Knowledge of regulatory standards and industry guidelines. May include up to 75% travel

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $212,300 to $291,950. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any). Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.
