The Executive Director serves as the chief executive and public face of the Clinic, providing leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to advance our mission of delivering quality care to the community. This role is responsible for ensuring the Clinic’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and positive community presence, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic Leadership & Governance
Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Clinic’s strategic plan.
Serve as staff liaison to the Board of Directors, implementing Board policies and providing professional guidance and resources.
Collaborate with volunteer leaders, community agencies, and government representatives to identify needs, solve community health challenges, and develop long-range plans.
Ensure the Clinic’s financial health and long-term sustainability through effective budgeting, fiscal oversight, and resource allocation.
Oversee daily operations, establishing policies, procedures, and systems to ensure efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
Maintain compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements.
Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team committed to the Clinic’s mission.
Direct and support staff in delivering patient care, education, and counseling; implementing efficient support systems; and maintaining effective communications.
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
Represent the Clinic in the community, cultivating partnerships with healthcare providers, civic organizations, corporate leaders, and government agencies.
Actively participate in local and state committees, conferences, roundtables, and events to strengthen the Clinic’s visibility and influence.
Lead development efforts, working to expand financial support and enhance public awareness of the Clinic’s mission and services.
Program Development & Evaluation
Oversee program planning, delivery, and evaluation to meet the healthcare needs of uninsured populations.
Promote coordinated research, planning, and innovation to improve services and outcomes.
Ensure programs align with community needs and organizational goals.
Qualifications: Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in healthcare administration, nonprofit management, or related field preferred.
Extensive leadership experience in healthcare administration, nonprofit management, or organizational development.
Proven success in:
Working with volunteer boards and community partners.
Fundraising, development, and donor relations.
Fiscal management, including budget preparation and oversight.
Public speaking and stakeholder engagement.
Skills & Abilities
Exceptional organizational, planning, and team-building skills.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Knowledge of community development processes and ability to navigate diverse stakeholder interests.
Expertise in resource development, marketing, and clinic operations.
Ability to negotiate and achieve positive outcomes among diverse stakeholders.
