About the Opportunity The Executive Director is responsible for creating and maintaining a residential environment that is welcoming, home-like, safe, and supportive. This role promotes a team approach to resident services, leading team members to contribute their talents effectively. The successful candidate will demonstrate high customer satisfaction, promote high staff morale and productivity, and meet regulatory requirements and financial targets. Well-developed decision-making skills for business and people-related success. Experience in conflict management and problem solving. Recognition of the value of individual contributions to team productivity and a commitment to staff development. Effective communication skills for one-on-one and group presentations. Flexibility and adaptability to meet resident or staff needs, including handling unexpected situations. Skills in interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff. Skills in marketing and sales. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business management, administration, or a related field. Previous management experience in healthcare or service-related businesses. Experience with budget preparation, managing at least five staff members with various responsibilities, and interacting successfully with residents, patients, clients, and the public. Compliance with state-assisted living regulatory requirements. Willingness to obtain certification as an Assisted Living Executive Director as required by state regulations within the allowable timeframe.
