About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its mission of providing high-quality pro bono civil legal services to low-income families and individuals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and operations, including strategic planning, staff and volunteer empowerment, and ensuring a strong understanding of and responsiveness to client needs. This role requires a mission-driven individual with a JD, legal expertise, and a deep commitment to accessible legal services. The Executive Director will also be tasked with cultivating relationships within the legal and judicial communities, leading the organization's relationship with funders, and maintaining program quality. Strong organizational leadership experience, including managing teams and budgets, is essential, as is the ability to build and maintain a diverse, inclusive, and results-oriented culture.

Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include collaborating with the Board and staff to set organizational priorities, supervising and coaching Directors, and partnering with the Director of Advocacy and Pro Bono to expand and improve programs. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled relationship-builder, with the ability to engage a diverse range of constituents, and will ideally have established relationships within the Greater Boston legal and judicial communities. Familiarity with the Legal Services Corporation and experience in fundraising are also highly valued. The role demands an adaptable individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment, effectively prioritize, and ensure the organization's impact and continuous improvement.
