With three intimate homes serving older adults who need assisted living, we are seeking a Licensed Executive Director who can lead with vision, compassion, and operational excellence.
*Position Overview*
As Executive Director-Administrator, you will oversee daily operations, team development, compliance, resident satisfaction, financial health, and strategic growth across all three residential care homes. You are not just an administrator—you are the steward of culture, the standard-bearer of care, and a key partner in shaping our company's future.

*Key Responsibilities*
Team & Culture Leadership
* Lead recruitment, hiring, coaching, and ongoing development of caregivers and assistant managers
* Serve as a Culture Champion—modeling respect, joy, and mission-alignment at every level
* Deliver performance evaluations, recognition, and corrective actions with empathy and clarity
* Mentor future leaders and promote internal succession pathways
Resident Experience and Care Coordination
* Ensure each resident receives care in accordance with their plan and our promise
* Conduct or oversee pre-admission assessments, make decisions aligned with mission and capabilities
* Maintain strong relationships with residents and families through regular communications, care planning, and hospitality initiatives
* Lead monthly family forums and support care team-family partnerships
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
* Ensure compliance with Department of Social Services (DSS) regulations
* Maintain current licensure, emergency preparedness plans, infection control standards, and incident documentation
* Serve as primary contact for audits, inspections, and licensing surveys
Operations & Facility Oversight
* Oversee the physical upkeep of homes, coordinate capital improvement projects, and partner with vendors and maintenance staff
* Monitor inventory and supplies; streamline procurement processes
* Ensure that home environments are safe, warm, and welcoming
* Lead emergency protocols and staff preparedness trainings
Financial & Strategic Planning
* Collaborate with ownership on annual budgets, performance targets, and business strategy
* Monitor labor utilization, expense management, and revenue optimization
* Participate in wage benchmarking and workforce planning
* Maintain reporting dashboards for occupancy, staffing, and satisfaction metrics
Client Acquisition & Brand Ambassador
* Lead tours and family meetings with warmth and clarity
* Build collaborative relationships with industry professionals and referral partners (case managers, social workers, community stakeholders, etc.)
* Uphold and advance the company's brand, messaging, and service positioning
*Qualifications*
Required
* Current Virginia Assisted Living Facility Administrator (ALFA) license (or state of operation)
* Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in assisted living; residential model experience strongly preferred
* Excellent people management and conflict resolution skills
* Deep knowledge of DSS regulations, licensing, and safety standards
* High emotional intelligence and servant-leader orientation
* CPR and First Aid certification
Preferred
* Experience overseeing multiple properties or locations
* Strong command of care documentation and scheduling systems (e.g., iCare Manager, BambooHR, ECP, WellSky)

*Compensation & Benefits*
* Base salary: $150,000-$200,000
* Bonus structure: Annual performance bonus tied to KPIs
