About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Office of Research Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and management of the office's mission across multiple campuses. This includes pre-award, post-award, and strategic initiatives divisions. The Executive Director will partner with academic and departmental leadership, and grant/contract staff to ensure a transparent and accountable research administration organization that supports the research mission. Key responsibilities include providing grants management expertise, coordinating award processes, directing and submitting proposals, monitoring compliance, and overseeing the preparation of various reports. The role also involves developing strategic initiatives, maintaining relationships with Federal representatives, and supervising a team to accomplish the office's goals.
Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree in Law, Business, or Public Administration highly preferred. A minimum of 10 years' of relevant experience, including prior staff management in a research administration setting, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven customer service orientation, thorough knowledge of sponsored program regulations, and expertise in proposal preparation, contracting accounting, and finance principles. Proficiency in research and grant administration software, Microsoft Office, and federal web-based grants management systems is essential.
