This leadership role focuses on driving regional success through sustainable impact, strong teams, and solid financial health. You will provide executive guidance to a dynamic team while managing fundraising, budgeting, and stakeholder relationships. Working collaboratively with a regional advisory board and cross-functional partners, you will ensure the effective delivery and expansion of programs that improve outcomes for children and schools. This position offers the chance to inspire a diverse team, foster partnerships, and influence community impact within a supportive and mission-driven environment.
Accountabilities:
Lead regional financial strategies, including fundraising, earned income, and board development.
Develop and implement budgets aligned with regional goals.
Oversee program planning, execution, evaluation, and quality with the regional leadership team.
Establish and nurture partnerships with schools, districts, community groups, and funders.
Manage and mentor staff and board members to meet regional objectives through coaching and collaboration.
Collaborate with national teams and other regional directors to share best practices and promote organizational learning.
Represent the organization externally, building connections with like-minded institutions.
Requirements
Proven success in fundraising across multiple philanthropy sectors including corporations, major donors, and foundations.
Extensive experience building relationships with school districts, government entities, and community partners.
Strong leadership background with experience managing high-performing teams and boards.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders persuasively.
Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptability, and creativity in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Commitment to the mission of improving child and school outcomes through play.
Deep knowledge of the regional philanthropic and educational landscape.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit, government, education, or private sectors.
Comfortable using technology to enhance organizational operations and initiatives.
