About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Payer Accounts to lead the strategic development and execution of U.S. payer engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing timely, appropriate, and sustainable access to the company's investigational TCR-T cell therapy. This role involves building and managing a national team of payer account directors, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring patient-centered access strategies. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, with a focus on payer account management or market access, and a proven track record in pre-commercial product launch, particularly in therapeutic categories with high budget impact.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include leading the U.S. payer account strategy, recruiting and managing a high-performing team, and building deep relationships with senior-level payer executives. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of navigating complex payer environments and anticipating healthcare policy changes. The candidate should be a cultural champion, with a passion for building patient-centered access strategies, and have experience in negotiating access agreements, including value-based arrangements. A background in oncology or specialty therapeutics, particularly with a focus on melanoma, is strongly preferred. The position demands a leader who can drive innovation in access and reimbursement, and who is adept at managing through ambiguity while ensuring collaboration and cross-functional alignment.
