About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Software Engineering to spearhead the transformation of a critical product within the US healthcare supply chain. The successful candidate will be tasked with modernizing the software to a cloud-native, resilient, and efficient architecture, while also enhancing the engineering culture to elite standards. This leadership role involves aligning a large global team with best practices in software engineering, driving measurable improvements in various performance metrics, and ensuring the team is equipped to deliver high-quality, reliable, and efficient software. The Executive Director will be responsible for technology modernization, including the migration of legacy systems to cloud-native architectures, and will be expected to have a deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and related technologies.

Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 20 years of experience in software engineering within a SaaS environment, and a proven track record of leading large global teams. The role requires a relentless focus on execution, a passion for software, and experience in guiding teams through complex modernization processes. Key responsibilities include leadership and organizational transformation, driving Agile practices, and using data-driven metrics to ensure engineering excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in healthcare or regulated industries, and a history of building elite engineering cultures. Executive presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead under pressure are also essential.
