Executive Director of Respite Care Ministry

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Director of Respite Care Ministry to lead our team in programs assisting individuals with dementia and their caregivers. . The ideal candidate will have strong administrative ability, community advocacy experience and ability to recruit and coordinate volunteers. This is a full time role requiring some flexibility in schedule to include some evenings and weekends in order to attend community events, workshops and other engagements. Responsibilities  Plan and oversee activities for participants to include recruiting special guests on occasion Coordinate with caregivers to support their initiatives and goals with the individuals served Organize community workshops for continuing education and training for caregivers Recruit and train volunteers from church, schools and community organizations Facilitate required training for volunteers and external partners Execute annual luncheons for volunteers Market the program through public speaking at various community functions Build and maintain relationships with referral sources such as medical providers and faith communities Create and manage social media content for the program Qualifications  BS in Social Work, Education, Healthcare, Ministry or related field Masters degree is preferred Minimum of 3 years experience in leadership or program management with preference given to a field of nonprofit, senior services or dementia Demonstrated experience in recruiting and managing volunteers Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, social media platforms and basic marketing tools Join us in making a difference in the lives of those we serve by providing compassionate care and support during their most vulnerable moments.
