About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director of Major and Principal Gifts to lead and manage its frontline major gift fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a personal portfolio of major and principal gift prospects, while also overseeing a team of frontline fundraisers. This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional with a minimum of 7-10 years' of progressive experience in development, particularly in major gift fundraising. The Executive Director will set the strategy, drive results, and ensure collaboration within the team to achieve fundraising goals in support of the institution's priorities and comprehensive campaign.
Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a proven track record in major gift fundraising, including experience in managing and mentoring a team. The role demands a deep understanding of fundraising principles, moves management, and campaign strategy, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will be technologically proficient, with strong skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, and be willing to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
