The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, direction, and management of operational and budgetary activities within the Facilities Management Department. This role also involves supporting college-wide security and safety operations, fostering collaboration with campus leaders, and ensuring that all facilities are maintained in a safe, code-compliant, and optimal working order. The Executive Director will oversee the development and administration of facilities budgets, participate in strategic planning, and support sustainability goals and projects. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years' management experience, or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience in facilities services, construction, administration, or a similar field, preferably within higher education. Practical experience in a range of areas, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, housekeeping, maintenance, grounds management, energy, utility, and sustainability operations, is essential. The role requires hands-on experience in budgeting, funding, and grants, as well as the ability to interact with public agencies and code authorities. The Executive Director will also be involved in the selection, operation, and training of staff in relevant software and administrative tools.
