About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of fostering pride, equality, and respect for LGBTQ+ communities. The successful candidate will be a transformational leader with a strong background in LGBTQ+ movement and social justice, capable of strategic planning, and operational oversight. This role demands a dynamic individual with exceptional crisis management skills, a strategic vision for the future, and a deep commitment to the values of diversity, respect, honesty, integrity, and accountability. The Executive Director will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategic plans, leading organizational transformation, and building and maintaining strategic partnerships. They must also have a proven track record in fundraising, including the cultivation of major donor relationships, and be adept at managing the financial aspects of a large-scale nonprofit organization.
Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree or aligned certifications welcomed, and at least 7 years of executive experience in leadership and organizational management. Essential skills include a demonstrated ability to engage with diverse communities, knowledge of intersectional justice issues, and experience in large-scale event planning. The ideal candidate will have a history of success in fundraising, a strong understanding of philanthropic strategies, and a background in the LGBTQ+ movement or other radical and progressive movements. Personal attributes should include unquestionable integrity, tenacity, and a collaborative leadership style.
