About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of supporting high-achieving, hard-working high school students from underrepresented or underserved communities. The successful candidate will be the chief executive officer, responsible for the organization's strategic leadership, program oversight, development and fundraising, operations and financial management, board relations, and community and external relations. This role requires a passionate commitment to educational equity, youth development, and scholar success, as well as the ability to lead and inspire a team, work collaboratively, and manage multiple priorities.

Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include leading the development and implementation of the organization's goals and objectives, ensuring the high-quality design and execution of scholar programming and support services, and leading fundraising efforts to grow the organization's financial sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and at least five years of senior leadership experience in a nonprofit or education-focused organization, with a proven track record in fundraising and donor stewardship. Strong financial acumen, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders are essential. Preferred skills include experience with high-achieving students from diverse backgrounds, knowledge of college admissions and scholarships, and expertise in grant writing and reporting.
