About the Role
The Company is seeking a Global Executive Medical Science Director for Hematology GMA. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing and implementing the global medical strategy for hematology assets, with a primary focus on chronic lymphocytic leukemia, mantle cell and marginal zone lymphomas, and Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia. This role is pivotal in leading and ensuring the execution of all programs and functions associated with the company's hematology programs, including phase IV and investigator-initiated studies. The ideal candidate will have an advanced scientific degree, at least 8 years' relevant experience, and a strong background in the hematology space, particularly in CLL. Global experience and a proven track record in developing and executing medical plans and customer engagement strategies are essential, as is previous launch experience for at least one hematology or oncology drug.
Key responsibilities for this role include contributing to the cross-functional global medical team, developing and updating the global medical plan, and driving the execution of medical tactics and deliverables. The role also involves broad collaboration with clinical development and commercial teams, particularly for launch preparation and execution. The candidate should be adept at external collaborations, including maintaining interactions with therapeutic experts and scientific entities. A strong emphasis is placed on compliance, and the candidate must act in line with all applicable legal, regulatory, and company standards. The role requires excellent strategic, execution, collaboration, and communication skills, as well as an entrepreneurial approach to work. The candidate should be results-oriented, analytical, and possess a strong business acumen with an understanding of evidence requirements for access and payers.
