About the Role
The Company is seeking a Foundation Executive Director to lead and manage its fundraising and major gift programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and directing all fundraising activities, preparing development goals and strategies in collaboration with the Board and CEO, and ensuring the Foundation's operational procedures align with those of the hospital. This role involves a wide range of tasks, including prospect identification, donor cultivation, proposal development, and major gift solicitation. The Executive Director will also be the key liaison for donor recognition and will coordinate closely with the hospital's leadership and boards. A key aspect of the position is to positively represent the hospital and its initiatives in the community.
Applicants for the Foundation Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years' non-profit fundraising experience, with at least 5 years at a managerial level. The role requires a demonstrated ability to secure significant gifts, manage a successful fundraising program, and experience with major gifts and capital campaigns. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships, and a proven track record of engaging various community groups in fundraising initiatives. Proficiency in office computer programs is essential, and experience with donor record systems is a plus. The Executive Director must be a results-oriented individual with a high energy level, a positive outlook, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with maturity and discretion.
