About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead the strategic growth, financial sustainability, and public engagement of its equine center and program. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving fundraising, launching innovative academic and equine programs, and expanding the center's impact both on campus and in the wider community. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record in strategic program growth, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. The Executive Director will not be involved in the day-to-day horse care and operations but will focus on long-term strategy, visibility, and impact, operating with the scope and versatility of a nonprofit CEO.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include leading the center's transformation and revitalization, serving as its primary ambassador, and shaping a bold, future-focused strategy. The role also involves driving revenue-generating initiatives, cultivating relationships with donors and industry partners, and deepening the center's integration into the academic enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a strong background in nonprofit or institutional management. They should have a proven ability to design and scale mission-aligned programs, secure philanthropic support, and manage budgets and personnel effectively. Exceptional communication skills, the ability to lead cross-functional teams, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture are essential.
