About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Curriculum and Instruction to provide leadership and management of systems that support curriculum, instruction, and professional learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of curriculum and instructional programs, in line with the company's goals and to the benefit of student achievement. This role involves the development, communication, and implementation of professional learning, as well as building instructional leadership capacity across the organization. The Executive Director will also be involved in the decision-making process for major instructional programs and will be expected to maintain a deep understanding of research-based instructional practices and emerging educational technologies.
Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a Master's degree in a related field, such as education administration or curriculum and instruction, and hold a Texas Principal Certification. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a classroom teacher, 3 years in instructional leadership, and a proven track record in curriculum development, alignment, and professional learning design are required. The role demands strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to manage budgets, personnel, and coordinate district functions. The ideal candidate will have a background in instructional technology, be adept at data interpretation, and have experience in policy implementation. Responsibilities also include supervising staff, ensuring cost-effective programs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and community involvement.
