About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Capital Project Delivery, a key leadership role within the newly established Strategy and Planning Office. The successful candidate will be a strategic, visionary, and operational leader, responsible for overseeing the delivery of a growing portfolio of state of good repair and major capital projects for complex, multi-modal transportation services. This role demands a values-oriented, collaborative leader who can direct, deliver, and continuously improve project development, design, engineering, and construction program management systems. Key responsibilities include successful planning and delivery of critical projects, optimizing organizational structure for efficiency, and influencing various stakeholders to align with the agency's priorities.
Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, with a preference for a degree in engineering, architecture, urban design, management, or a related field. A minimum of 12 years' of total credited experience, including 5 years' of management, and a strong background in project management, transportation, transit, or rail development, are required. The role also involves providing strategic and engineering oversight for a diverse portfolio of construction projects, controlling and approving budgets, and ensuring a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a trusted leader, capable of making tough business decisions, and will be expected to maintain solid working relationships with various government agencies and other transportation organizations.
