JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox Entertainment’s Business & Legal Affairs department is seeking a seasoned business and legal affairs executive to support Fox Broadcast Network and Fox Entertainment Studio’s development, production and exhibition of non-scripted programming and content. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Negotiate, draft, review and advise on a variety of production, development and other commercial deals and agreements for internal and third-party projects (including above-the-line talent and producer agreements, rights agreements, studio license and production services agreements, and below-the-line and other production contracts);
Manage and advise stakeholders with respect to day-to-day business and legal affairs issues in connection with the development, production and exploitation of non-scripted programming and content (including pre-exhibition content review, risk analysis and providing legal advice with respect to varied and complex development and production related matters);
Manage relationships with agents, managers, attorneys and other representatives in the entertainment community, as well as executives at internal and third-party networks, platforms, studios and other stakeholders; and
Create and maintain departmental resources and actively participate in the establishment of departmental policies for non-scripted programming and content.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: To be an active member of California bar or Registered In-House Counsel status;
To be a seasoned executive with a minimum of 7 years of prior legal experience, with significant prior entertainment production and/or distribution experience;
To have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
To be an effective manager of others, adept at supervising, providing feedback, and mentoring other junior members of the team;
To have established relationships within the entertainment community;
To have extensive hands-on experience with complex contracts; and
To have proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and to remain composed under pressure.
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $175,000.00-200,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
