Overview:
The Emergency Services Director oversees the operations of the Emergency Department (ED) to ensure high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this role involves leadership, strategic planning, budget management, compliance, and staff coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage ED staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Oversee daily ED operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and resource utilization.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and implement quality improvement initiatives.
* Manage departmental budgeting and financial performance.
* Collaborate with hospital departments and external agencies to enhance patient outcomes.
* Function as a staff nurse when needed.
Qualifications:
* Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
* Experience: 5+ years of hospital-based emergency nursing, 3+ years in leadership.
* Licensure & Certifications: RN license (GA), BLS/ACLS/PALS (or ENPC), CEN or CEM preferred.
