The Opportunity
The main objective of this position is to oversee and manage all warehousing and inventory operations. This role ensures the efficient and effective storage, distribution, and inventory management of products and leads a team of warehouse managers and staff, develops strategic plans, and implements best practices to optimize warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.
What You'll Do: Responsibilities
Provides direction and leadership to Warehousing & Inventory Control teams, effectively managing the leave schedules, work assignments, and performance. Oversees inventory management strategies, ensuring optimal stock levels through various replenishment planning methods to minimize stockouts, avoid excess inventory, and support Maintenance asset uptime targets. Leads and supports internal and external benchmarking to drive infusion of new ideas and/or new application of existing tools, tactics, and techniques. Develops and implements warehousing and inventory management strategies to support business objectives. Oversees the daily operations of warehousing, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Ensures inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes. Optimizes warehouse layout and storage solutions to maximize space utilization and efficiency. Leads, mentors, and develops a team of warehouse managers and staff and promotes continued professional growth. Collaborates with other departments, such as AP&R, IT, Procurement, Sourcing and Maintenance to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics and implements corrective actions to achieve operational goals. Ensures compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Leads warehouse in POV Safety Programs. Manages the budget for warehousing and inventory operations, including cost control and resource allocation. Communicates data-driven insights and deliver action plans that steer business strategy and decision-making in Warehouse and Inventory. Researches and analyzes current Warehouse and Inventory processes and performance data to improve documentation and performance. Identifies and implements technology solutions to enhance warehousing and inventory management processes. Supports the ongoing development and implementation of the strategic plan. Education
Bachelor's degree in related field required. At least 5 years relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
Licenses, Certifications, and Credentials
Valid driver's license; Transportation Worker Identification Credential
Work Experience
Ten years of relevant experience with five years in a leadership capacity required.
