Annual Bonus Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the financial services industry, is seeking an Experience Design Director
to lead a high-impact team in building cutting-edge digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for a design leader to shape the future of user-centered financial products used by millions of customers. In this
hybrid
role (2–3 days/week onsite in one of the following locations:
NYC, Wilmington DE, Irving TX, Charlotte NC, or Baltimore MD ), the Experience Design Director will lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate closely with product, engineering, research, and content teams. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in
digital product design, customer experience, payments , and leadership—along with a portfolio that reflects end-to-end design thinking, innovation, and business impact. The Right Candidate will have: 8+ years of product design experience 6+ years leading design teams, including hiring and developing talent Hands-on experience shipping products across platforms and geographies 4–5+ years of direct

B2C digital
and mobile product background Experience managing full product lifecycle and collaborating with cross-functional teams High-level communication and “executive presence” Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to speak to impact with
data and metrics Strong storytelling, collaboration, and mentoring capabilities A strong portfolio that includes case studies with clearly structured problem-solving journeys is required Nice to Have Qualifications 3+ years of experience in the
financial services
industry, especially consumer lending Experience defining and executing
platform strategies
across a product ecosystem Proven success leading
design system initiatives
and scalable UX frameworks Strong systems-thinking mindset and pattern-based design experience Track record of building diverse, high-performing design teams in fast-paced environments Experience with
resource planning
