Director, Talent Development - Modesto, CA
Job Summary:
The Director, Talent Development provides strategic planning and execution of Performance Management, Training and Development, and Education programs, ensuring access to and communication of various learning position partners with Instructional Design for the assessment and development of programs to meet or exceed the expectations of the company regarding Performance, Engagement and Talent position works directly with senior leadership to ensure all Performance Management, Training, Education and Workforce Development programs are aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Partner with Senior Leaders and HR Business Partners to create organizational structure and/or position responsibilities to drive business results.
Responsible for mentoring, coaching and developing individuals by providing an environment conducive to learning, sharing new ideas, and increasing knowledge company-wide.
Direct, manages, coaches and develops the Training and Development, Performance Management, and Education teams
Assess organizational needs to better understand learning needs and opportunities; utilize findings to create action plans and the development of new programs; develop gap-analysis to determine if target audiences and deliverables were achieved
Collaborate with colleagues to develop programs and measurements to provide the organization with the insight of a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Threats, and Opportunities) analysis to determine the training and learning curriculum requirements and needs.
Collaborate with teams to help enable the organization’s existing talent pool to be educated, measured, producing the desired outcomes to ensure the organization’s desired position within the company.
Provide education and communication to enable available technology to be effectively utilized and provide reporting that is accurate and consistent to help in the assessment of performance and training.
Direct Succession Planning company-wide, producing a report to aid senior management regarding replacement staff and needed development for high potential talent.
Collaborate with senior management to ensure that Performance Management is positioned within the organization by establishing it as a creditable source of data and information necessary for the organization to meet certain strategic performance goals
Plan training and education budgetary needs and track training-related spend
Develop employee engagement and retention programs
Perform other duties as assigned

Hiring pay range: $129, - 187,
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Knowledge in developing metric driven results and gap analysis to aid in increasing the knowledge base, efficiency, customer service, compliance and job satisfaction for the talent within the organization
Knowledge of various venues of education and or learning methods; traditional, in-class room, e-learning, Computer Based Training, Train-the trainer, meetings, conference, distance learning, video, Internal Communications and others
Knowledgeable in assessment, development, methods, and measurements of delivering education/learning
Skilled in building meaningful relationships and partnering with all levels of leadership to ensure training and development strategies, tactics and processes meet the needs of TSMC
Skilled in coaching, mentoring and developing others
Proven leadership skills with a diverse population and complex deliverables
Proven track record of improving stakeholders’ value to the organization through value add education/learning products
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
Proficient Microsoft Office skills to include PowerPoint and Excel
Deep understanding and first-hand experience with various Information Technology software/applications used in education, learning
Education: Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Experience: Minimum of ten years of directly related experience, 7 years Management, Supervisory and/or leadership experience
Other: 25% travel
