Acuity is seeking a Director - Staff Loss Control to serve as a subject matter expert, accountable for establishing operational guidelines, conducting audits to ensure consistency, and effectively communicating outcomes. The Director's key responsibilities include consulting with stakeholders, creating and maintaining resources, managing regulatory reporting, leading training initiatives, and collaborating closely with commercial lines functions. The Director will help drive innovation, advance best practices, and deliver impactful strategic leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Proactively partner with stakeholders, Commercial Lines counterparts, and management to identify, recommend, and implement changes to policies, practices, and systems that align with Acuity’s vision and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with the user community to advance new ideas, ensure solutions meet customer needs, and advocate for the evolving use of technology, analytics, and AI.
Communicates enterprise strategic direction to align the team while supporting goal implementation and representing loss control in enterprise initiatives.
Uphold best practices through a variety of audits to ensure uniformity and consistency in standards and practices; perform special audits as necessary.
Create, facilitate, and monitor training programs for new hires and existing employees in collaboration with management, Commercial Lines counterparts, and other training resources. Mentor the professional development of loss control consultants and staff through ongoing training, coaching, and guidance to promote a motivated, higher-performing team, while providing timely, constructive feedback.
Research and Analytical Expertise: Demonstrates expertise in research, critical thinking, and analysis while leading innovative solutions and mentoring others to integrate stakeholder input for exceptional customer service.
Stay abreast of loss control regulatory requirements, implement efficient compliance workflows, and oversee completion of state reports and audits.
Participate in and lead varied project work, including product innovation, process improvement through system design, as well as vendor and program evaluation, to maximize results.
Develop effective safety training and resource materials for internal and external customer use.
Mentor the professional development of loss control consultants and others, formally or informally, through ongoing training, coaching, and guidance to ensure a motivated and productive team. Provide timely and descriptive feedback.
Attend industry events, conferences, or other professional development courses/seminars to broaden awareness and identify opportunities to innovate.
Travel as required for situations such as management meetings, training, or field personnel contact.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Preform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree, or extensive direct experience. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or similar designation preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
10 years experience in commercial multi-line loss control or commercial risk management and safety, including experience in the essential functions of this role.

This job is classified as exempt.
The salary range for this position is $170,00 - $190,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
