Our Passion. Our Approach. The Director of Software Program Management will successfully lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects. The Director of Software Program Management will be responsible for managing multiple software projects simultaneously, ensuring successful program delivery and meeting program goals. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in software development, team management, and program management. The Director is also highly experienced in the areas of Warehouse Execution and Control Systems (WES, WCS), Material Handling Systems (MHS), Control Systems, and Warehouse Management. This will require a strong emphasis on managing multiple stakeholders and proactive communication. Extensive industry experience, along with the ability to practice judgment to plan and accomplish company goals, will be a priority. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Develop and implement strategies to achieve program goals and objectives. Lead and manage a cross-functional team of software project managers, software engineers, quality engineers, and solution consultants to ensure successful program delivery. Develop and maintain program plans, budgets, and resource requirements. Manage and track program progress, and ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure program requirements are met, risks are mitigated, and issues are resolved. Develop and maintain program documentation, including program plans, status reports, and risk assessments. Evaluate program outcomes and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of program delivery. Communicate program progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, program sponsors, and clients. Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure successful program delivery. Understand specific capabilities within complex supply chain applications and leverage advanced knowledge to assist with design and implementation efforts. Oversee difficult concepts and complexity of Fortna project governance activities and tools in the delivery of projects. Leverage advanced consulting skills to facilitate resolution of issues. Oversee the hiring and training of associates, and manage change across stakeholder groups. Drive innovation related to the conceptualization of new, and improved tools, templates, and methodologies. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education / Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 10+ years successfully managing and delivering software development projects/programs Knowledge and experience with software development methodologies and tools, including Agile and Scrum Experience managing and mentoring teams of software project managers and development teams Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification preferred Knowledge / Skills / Competencies: Expert business acumen competencies, demonstrating extensive understanding and exceptional skills with demonstrated application Paramount level experience in project management Exceptional level of understanding of how to manage both directly and indirectly across multiple workstreams and projects Demonstrated high level ability to manage projects and teams remotely Leads by example through developing broad project leadership that effectively assigns responsibilities and sets clear expectations Extensive ability in listening, as well as oral and written communication competencies High understanding of solving complex problems and developing solutions as well as teaching and developing others in this area Expert abilities to develop and manage budgets across multiple projects, workstreams, and programs Demonstrated high ranking ability to proactively engage with Project Accountants in the management and communication of the budgets Exceptional time management Expert presentation development and delivery skills Superior client management and project leadership skills Highly proficient understanding of PM software, Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint Other Qualifications: Ability to travel domestically and internationally Ability to perform essential requirements of the position WORKING CONDITIONS : When working in-office, there may be periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen for extended periods of time. The ability to speak and clearly hear, in-person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms.
