Responsibilities
Manages a portfolio of business application projects formercial business. Meet with managers (IT and business) to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines Establishing and maintaining relationships with business and IT counterparts to ensure proper collaboration Accountable for project scope, schedule, and budget ensuringmitments and progress are monitored closely andmunicated clearly Forecasting and allocation of team members across several development projects Regular reporting of key metrics like resource allocation, software defects, productivity, and efficiency Trains, supervises, assigns projects to, evaluates, and is responsible for hiring/termination of information technology personnel and contracting staff to design, engineer, and implement systems software Talent management of team members to ensure high morale and appropriate advancement of individual goals and career aspirations Participate in the evaluation, acquisition, and implementation of vendor software to support business processes Troubleshoot technology issues Participation in and well-planned implementation of established quality improvement initiatives and processes In conjunction with the architecture group Establish and enforce design and coding standards Evaluate and rmend application development tools
Qualifications
College degree inputer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred Prior management/supervisory experience with information technology personnel and offshore/onsite consults preferred Prior hands-on application development experience using web based technologies and languages is preferred Solid knowledge of surrounding technologies including design patterns and modern standards Great leadership skills to work effectively with peers within and across organizations Solid written and interpersonalmunication with the ability to deliverpelling presentations Strong ability to manage and execute on multiple project timelines and managepeting priorities Experience in Property Casualty insurance a plus
