Director, SIOP – Carmel, IN
The Director of SIOP is a pivotal leadership role within the Global Supply Chain organization, tasked with transforming the SIOP process through strategic digitization and optimization initiatives. This position requires deep expertise in Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) to elevate Allegion’s demand planning and iterative SIOP processes. Reporting directly to the VP of Global Supply Chain and Operations Support, the successful candidate will drive operational excellence, enhance forecast accuracy for the business, and drive digitization of our supply chain processes to deliver industry-leading customer experiences and achieve strategic business objectives.
What You Will Do:
Lead the continuous enhancement of Allegion’s Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across supply, inventory, and financial reconciliation processes.
Facilitate and/or drive strategic SIOP meetings, ensuring effective supply planning and demand balancing to drive organizational goals
Drive collaboration with Inventory and Business Materials teams to proactively identify and address forecast changes and their impact on the supply chain.
Lead Allegion’s Americas Demand Planning function, providing strategic direction and guidance to North America and international teams.
Develop and implement best-in-class forecasting processes by channel and product family, leveraging statistical analysis, market intelligence, NPI (New Product Introduction), and promotional inputs. Drive continuous improvement of forecast accuracy and bias metrics to exceed organizational objectives and enhance business outcomes.
Align demand forecasts with inventory strategies to optimize working capital utilization, minimize obsolescence, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Champion formal problem solving for forecast variance and operating plans which result in compromises in On-Time delivery and Customer Experience.
Lead Allegion’s NPI Planning process in support of SIOP, incorporating NPI and phase-out processes. Coordinate transition planning across merchandising and planning functions, marketing for merchandising, ensuring alignment with demand and inventory strategies. Strengthen a culture of continuous improvement, implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Develop a strategic roadmap for comprehensive SIOP digitization and automation, enhancing resiliency, efficiency, and effectiveness to support long-term business goals.
Collaborate with Allegion Information Platforms to integrate point solutions into a cohesive system for managing business processes.
Support Allegion’s Supply Chain Digital Network investment, driving SIOP business use case development, alignment, engagement and implementation.
Align key performance indicators (KPIs) with digital supply chain solutions, driving continuous improvement and iterative enhancements.
Monitor and analyze sales metrics to provide insights, support decisions, and identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain.
Maintain a deep understanding of business needs and strategy utilizing trusted relationships with key leaders and stakeholders across the business. Successfully influence leaders across the organization and drive alignment to meet business needs.
Serve as a voice of the customer, translating business needs into actionable insights and solutions.
Champion the adoption of digital tools and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Drive positive team engagement and develop team capabilities while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Act as a coach, change agent, and mentor, providing feedback, coaching, and career development for team members.
What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on SIOP and demand planning.
Strong understanding of supply chain processes and technology.
Project/portfolio management experience using Agile and Change Management methods.
Lean Six Sigma process implementation experience, including digital value stream mapping.
Advanced data and analytics skills AI Business Use Cases a plus
Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in configure-to-order, project-based, branch services & install and consumer goods demand streams.
Product management and operations research expertise.
Deep knowledge of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning processes, including demand forecasting, inventory strategy, and supply planning integration.
Proficiency in balancing supply and demand across global operations and driving alignment across business units.
Experience in leading iterative SIOP processes and facilitating executive-level meetings.
Advanced skills in statistical analysis, market intelligence integration, and forecasting methodologies, integrating with CRM and external data sets.
Ability to develop SKU-level forecasts, ensuring alignment with business direction and market trends.
Strong understanding of supply chain digitization and automation tools, methodologies, and systems integration.
Experience in developing and implementing digital roadmaps and driving technology adoption.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering engagement and collaboration.
Expertise in change management and driving organizational transformation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
Skilled in building consensus and aligning priorities with business goals.
