Director, Scheduling Fulfillment & Resource Planning
Versant Media is seeking a strategic and operationally minded media professional to lead our Scheduling Fulfillment team. The Director, Scheduling Fulfillment & Resource Planning will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling of both technical production assets—including control rooms, studios, and edit bays—and the workforce of operators who support live and recorded media production across Versant’s brands.
This role is central to optimizing how we allocate and manage physical spaces, equipment, and personnel, ensuring seamless coordination across editorial, programming, and operations. The Director will also drive enhancements to our resource scheduling tools, integrating automation and AI to improve efficiency and responsiveness. This position reports to the VP, Scheduling Fulfillment & Creative Project Planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of scheduling professionals responsible for coordinating the use of production facilities (e.g., control rooms, studios) and assigning operators (e.g., technical directors, audio engineers, graphics operators) across multiple departments and brands.
Develop and implement scheduling strategies that support linear, digital, and partner platforms, ensuring optimal use of both human and technical resources.
Lead planning for real-time scheduling updates, format compliance, and metadata management.
Partner with editorial, programming, and operations teams to align scheduling intent with operational execution.
Oversee content fulfillment workflows for news production operations and postproduction.
Act as the primary operational lead and central point of contact to the NOC, Field Operations, graphic design teams to drive alignment, communication and execution of scheduling fulfillment strategies across these key departments
Champion automation initiatives such as predictive and scheduled routing and resource availability and usage.
Team Leadership
Build and mentor a high-performing team of scheduling and fulfillment specialists ensuring everyone on the team knows the people they are scheduling and have an operational knowledge of their roles.
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Drive modernization of legacy systems and workflows.
Qualifications
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in media operations, scheduling, or content fulfillment.
Proven leadership in broadcast, cable and digital scheduling workflows.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Additional Information
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
