We support each other to rise together. Job Summary : The Director, Proposal Writing will lead strategy and execution for SmithRx's responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Proposals (RFP). This role involves managing the entire proposal lifecycle, developing compelling responses that communicate SmithRx's value to clients, consultants, and brokers. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Analytics, Clinical, Legal, Account Management, Marketing, etc.) to understand offerings and represent services strategically. Additionally, the role includes establishing and maintaining a scalable repository of responses and continuously optimizing proposal processes. Applicants must be based in one of the following states: Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin. What you will do : Lead the strategic vision for proposal writing, aligning with company goals and revenue targets. Mentor Proposal Managers and Writers, fostering professional growth and high-quality work. Oversee and optimize RFP and RFI processes, establishing best practices. Develop persuasive proposals highlighting SmithRx's advantages and value. Build strong relationships with leadership across departments to gather information and align messaging. Collaborate with subject matter experts to craft accurate, compelling proposals meeting deadlines and compliance. Implement quality assurance processes for proposal drafts to ensure consistency and excellence. Maintain and enhance a knowledge base of responses and documentation, leveraging technology. Manage multiple high-stakes projects independently, providing strategic oversight. Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track, manage, and report on proposal activities, providing insights to leadership. What you will bring to SmithRx : 10+ years of RFI/RFP experience and 5+ years of management, preferably in PBM. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or related field. Proven leadership in building and mentoring proposal teams. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. Mastery of clear, persuasive writing. Proficiency with proposal software (Qvidian), CRM (Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and Adobe. Excellent program and project management skills. Strategic mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. Collaborative, adaptable, results-oriented work style. Low ego and effective collaboration skills.
