Director, Project Engineering
The Director, Project Engineering is responsible for overseeing the development of the engineering design and execution of construction design administration to support Fujifilm's $3.4B expansion in Holly Springs, North Carolina. This role provides leadership for all engineering focused initiatives and activities, and monitors project milestones and achievements to ensure successful completion of project scope within the defined or adjusted parameters. Additionally, this role collaborates extensively with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that lessons learned are provided promptly and that the right people are assigned the right tasks providing challenge and enhancement to their skills.

Job Description
What You'll Do
- Provides and is accountable for the complex engineering design and processes required to construct and validate Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies' Holly Springs investment projects
- Provides leadership for all engineering focused initiatives and activities
- Empowers and leads a large, multi-disciplined engineering team with energy and focus through each unique phase of the project
- Drives and monitors project milestones and achievements to ensure successful completion of project scope, from early basis of design (BOD), through construction administration, to engineering support through commissioning and validation phases, within the defined or adjusted parameters
- Works closely with selected EPCM partner to maintain FDBN's "One Team" approach
- Prioritizes and fosters a strong cost and schedule adherence mindset within the engineering scope in order to maintain FDBN's commitment of "Unprecedented Delivery"
- Collaborates extensively with cross-functional teams, clients, vendors, and partners
- Determines team and project goals
- Coaches and mentors direct reports and team members to foster professional development and growth
- Other duties, as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
- Collaboration across the Site, and within FDB globally, is a key required skill as the Project Engineering team has significant interface into a number of varying organizations.
- Ability to lead a 20+ personnel engineering team within a heavily matrixed organization
- Broad technical engineering expertise within in a regulated environment.
- Ability to drive core team culture priorities (i.e., safety, cost consciousness, leadership principals) into the way of working
- Experience executing within a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Basic Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field
- 15+ years of engineering experience within a regulated environment
- 8+ years of people management experience with engineering/technical focus
- Demonstrated leadership abilities within a matrixed global organization
- Experience executing within a dynamic and fast paced environment
Preferred Requirements
- Master's degree in relevant field
- Specific experience within facility commissioning and cGMP validation scopes
