Director, Project Accounting & Financial Operations

Our client is a fast-growing, private equity–backed services provider with $150M+ in annual revenue and a track record of delivering complex, large-scale, multi-site projects across diverse industries.
Responsibilities:
Project-to-Cash Leadership
Oversee end-to-end processes: POs, vendor bills, customer invoicing, collections.
Ensure timely, accurate project-level financial performance and reporting.
Collaborate with project delivery teams to align financial workflows with client contracts.
Operational Excellence
Own systems and workflows in NetSuite, Ramp, Tesario, driving automation and data integrity.
Standardize and streamline billing, AP, and collections processes.
Create KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to monitor performance and drive improvement.
Team Management
Lead and mentor a growing team (billing, collections, AP/procurement).
Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Act as a hands-on leader—balancing strategic direction with tactical execution.
Governance & Controls
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
Strengthen financial operations in preparation for audits, growth, and potential liquidity events.
Requirements:
8+ years of progressive financial operations experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA ).
Experience in project-based industries (e.g., services, construction, engineering, or consulting).
Proven success leading billing, collections, AP/procurement, and vendor management.
Deep familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite (required) , Ramp, and Tesario.
Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth environment is a strong plus.
