Director, Product Management - Technical The Role
The Director of Product Management - Technical for the Operations Automation program is a leadership role focused on delivering resilient, high-speed, and trusted infrastructure through self-service automation and standardized managed services. This role blends strategic product ownership with program execution excellence to remove operational bottlenecks and foster autonomous infrastructure delivery. You will lead a global organization that defines and executes transformative initiatives, optimizing operating mechanisms and enhancing the developer experience across Mastercard’s infrastructure automation platform.
In This Role You Will • Own the 3–5 year vision for infrastructure automation platforms and multi-year program roadmaps, making strategic trade-offs to balance innovation, scalability, and business impact. • Lead large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives that solve complex operational challenges and deliver measurable outcomes in infrastructure automation. • Define and evolve product and program strategies in ambiguous domains, bringing clarity and simplicity to complexity. • Set and manage scorecards and KPIs to monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and raise the delivery bar across engineering and product teams. • Optimize architectural and organizational structures to remove inefficiencies and enable long-term success. • Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and innovation to solve core infrastructure and developer productivity needs. • Build strong internal customer relationships and engagement models to ensure delivery aligns with expectations. • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, including division presidents and executive committees. • Advocate for department resources and plan for future capability needs.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
